“Well Informed and Steadfast”

Committed members of the Minnesota Breast Cancer Coalition have been instrumental in nurturing the development and success of the Piper Breast Center. MNBCC members were present and active 16 years ago when our planners convened our first focus groups. They are well informed and steadfast in their advocacy for breast cancer patients and survivors in their communities and workplaces, and in the halls of the Minnesota State Legislature and the United States Congress.

~ Carol M. Bergen, RN, Clinical Manager, Abbott Northwestern Hospital’s Piper Breast Center, Minneapolis

“Purpose and Direction”

Breast cancer posed a daunting challenge to me. The Minnesota Breast Cancer Coalition trained me to go beyond my fear, beyond my disease, beyond myself. The MNBCC focused my energy and efforts. I make a difference for others who face breast cancer because I am not alone in my fight. Breast cancer gave me a cause; the MNBCC gave me purpose and direction.

~ Jane Rollin, Survivor since 1992
